5 August, from the crew dude, part 2

Aaaaaaannndd... they're off!!

First launch on time at 1130.  Weather forecasts apparently disagreed with each other, so the task-setters had a difficult time setting a task, but it was done, and made available shortly after briefing started.  For standard, 290 k's or so.

Eric was the last to grid, but we got there in time and with no problems.  Then we were informed about a task change, increase to around 320 km.  Eric signed for that, then entered it into the tablet, and was then completely ready.

The forecast thunderstorms last night didn't happen here, but apparently did elsewhere, so Leszno obviously missed out.  Enough moisture to throw Cu's up everywhere, so really all you'd need to do is to fly from one to the next, hoping they're all working.

Should be due back around 1700 (looks as though he's just started) so I'll have to be ready at the end of the runway to collect him, as it's likely that a lot of others will be landing at the same time!

Picture of today's sky from the campsite...

And yesterday I sat in the cockpt of the 28 too.
It's definitely a very nice machine.  Wouldn't mind flying it!

Gotta have a go in an LS8 now :-)
