30 July part 2, from the crew dude

They're all back!

And those of you who have been following the results will by now have found out that Eric came a very creditable 9th place out of 40, on his first day at an international competition!  Well done Eric!!  And the two Australians were in the top 10!

There are definitely some good fliers out there, so to get 9th place on Day 1 is no mean feat.  Let this performance continue!

The weather fined up enough to allow this day to actually take place, although even at 0800 there were still some drizzly showers around.

Everyone got around although there were one or two problems with track causing the pilots to miss turnpoints.

Meantime I've got some more pictures:  First, sunset on the previous day before the storms hit.

Then: Eric inserting the task into the tablet for accurate navigation.

 Finally: Eric being launched.

Forecast is for possible rain tomorrow, then clearing up and getting to 36 degrees by Saturday.

Cheers!
