G'day all!
Yesterday's technical problem was actually a rather major one - a broken micro-USB connector on an interface board caused the tablet to receive nothing, and it had to be fixed. The first place we tried in Leszno was unable to do the job but recommended another place, which did a superlative job, and fixed it back in place at least as strongly as it was to start with. The board then worked perfectly and Eric was happy.
Other than that, the standard routine, with us now getting used to conditions we're likely to expect during the comp itself, including towing out gliders and picking them up later on when the pilot has returned.
Meantine, the team monitoring point is now set up and was manned, so when Eric called in on final I was able to head out there and meet him. All according to plan.
Now, having just returned from out to dinner, the mozzies are thick in the air and take quite a bit of avoiding.
Oh, Eric got around the task OK although apparently it was a struggle at times. For some reason though, his IGC file appears not to have made it through to the scoring program, which'll need to be sorted out.
Tomorrow's forecacst is 34 degrees and partly cloudy, and Sunday is 38 degrees so it'll be pretty vicious! I hear tell there's no task tomorrow but I could've got that wrong.
Cheers
