Day 6

This shows how my day went...

Round the last turn, and into a paddock 10km away with 6 other gliders, only 1 other Standard class though... Bugger. That little hook there to the left of center, yep that's my circuit

It was a tough day. I started too late again and not in a great position either because I didn't want to start any later. It was a tricky day again and that's what separates the men from the boys. Plenty of days ahead to mix it up again. Its only up from here. I flew by myself for the whole day because of my late start. And this made it very very tricky in the blue. The main gaggle was just too strong to catch up. Even the few who started just before me were too strong together to catch.

Another day tomorrow, I can't get hung up about today.

  1. Onwards and upwards! You still have another week to put the lessons just learnt to work and catch up. You can do it!

  2. this is such a frustrating sport! But a few good flights will make the memories much better. Just remember why you are there, the experience will help your skills over the next 3 years. Flying with other gliders is the best way to learn what the others are doing, practice some skills, and give you some relaxation amongst the gaggles (preferably smaller ones). Looking forward to see your performance over the next couple of days, enjoy!
