1 August, from the crew dude

Yo again!

Today the weather's co-operating somewhat better.  And an early start today!  Schedule was last grid 1115, launch 1130 for a 3 1/2 hour AAT task for Standard.

This left us v. little time after briefing to enter tasks into PDAs and decide strategies, and we still had to go into town for some purchases.  Finally we managed it, and lunch, with no time to spare, and at the same time found that first launch was delayed to 1140.  So we're all flat out until first launch.

Then the task was shortened to 3h 15m after it was apparently noticed that 3h 30 was too long for the task as specified, and those flying fast would max out the circles into airspace.

Clouds not particulrly high but lots of them and lasting a long time.  The start gate opened at 1300 or so (I forget the actual time!) so we should start to see everyone arriving back after 1615.

There's an international night in the hangar tonight; presumably most people might cook up something pertaining to their own nation for others to sample.  Shrimps on the barbie from the Aussies?

Bowling last night was good, there were 11 of us with abilities varying from - well, one extreme, to - well, the other extreme.  Followed by a gigantic local meal of some excellent kind (Eric might know better what it was), and for only AU$10!

Stand by for updates!

Cheers
