The Opening Ceremony, from the crew dude

Hi all!

The Opening Ceremony went off well and on time, with all teams and team captains parading past the public, and speeches made by the Mayor of Leszno, and the President and Secretary of the Aero Club, and other dignitaries.  This was followed by a demonstration from the local marching girls and with the Leszno Band providing music.

Followed by an aerial display from the newly-formed Leszno Skydiving group, the SZD54 Perkoz (two-seat glider configurable for aerobatics when flown without winglets) being thrown through some quite impressive manoeuvres and a gyrocopter which was certainly no less impressive.  This was followed by a flypast of all the competition's tugs in formation.

Managed to get lots of pictures which I'll now have to sort through, hopefully I can do that tomorrow!
