Another nice day in Poland!

Today was a bit of a confidence boost. I flew a leg following 4 Discus2's from the European Championships in Ostrow and pretty well managed to keep up even though I was at a little over half water. The aim was to head further north from my first turn but I wasn't getting any lift so it was a shallow deviation more toward leszno. I ended up at in the circuit area of Leszno, dumped all my water and managed to climb away slowly. Without the water there was a huge difference in cruise performance but in the climb I didn't really feel too much difference other then the stall speed. I flew around 40km around north east of the field and had a nice training final glide from out there.
It was a very nice training day and I hope tomorrow is again as good so I can fill the glider right up and again see how she goes.
Back home after another day of fun. Time to clean off the bugs and then over to the gliding hotel for a polish BBQ.

  2. So did you polish the BBQ? ;-)
The forecast looks like there'll be a whole week of perfect weather to practice in. Have fun, fly fast, above all fly safely!
